MAIN STREET MARION WAS ORGANIZIED TO PROMOTE AND STIMULATE THE DOWNTOWN ECONOMY.
We want to see the downtown thrive. We will work with the city, the residents, and the stakeholders to develop a long-term master plan for the downtown district. The plans will highlight arts and cultural resources, reuse plans, outdoor venues and connections to adjacent neighborhoods. We want the people of Marion to join the movement and get involved.
Our logo is reflective of the M that stands as a mark and rallying point for both Marion and Main Street. It is a mark that exists because of the forms around it, just like Main Street
Marion exists because of the culture and businesses surrounding it.
It is a 3-Dimensional. The businesses and organizations downtown are the building blocks of the city. Alone, they are only one shape, but together they can build something much bigger than themselves. Main Street Marion supports these building blocks. Each building, each store, and each street downtown offer unique experiences to the people of Marion. Our logo rallies around the idea of a real life, tangible thing that
anyone can experience.
Our identity is simple, refreshing, and intriguing.
It is a rallying point of town pride.
It is a building block.
It is a cross walk.
It is a building.
It is more than itself.
